My group and I have had a dilemma. Regardless of how small our group is we had a dilemma due to our lack of planning. We were put into uncomfortable positions. It is the second week and we need to start the filming. We came across that we would not have enough time to go to each place we decided to attend. Due to the fact that we don't live by each other as well as each of us having a different schedule. So what we did was break the groups in half. We would have one group of three and one group of two. This is because we are trying to adjust both schedules and the distance away from each other. The three members are Miriam, Kathy, and Marisabel who will be filming Panda Express, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut. The other two are Sofia and Frissiel who will be going to In-N-Out, Chipotle, Hagen Dazs, and McDonalds. What we are going to be doing today to have done by tomorrow is a script for each fast food restaurant.
In order to complete our project, we will change up the information that is incorrect about preservatives in the script. Apart from this, we have actually spliced up some unwanted/unneeded parts in the episode already and practiced doing voice overs. The process is fun but yet tedious. We are on our way to finishing out the semester strong with the way our work seems to be progressing. In terms of the video editing of splicing out unwanted scenes we have completed doing so and Roger keeps learning new ways of editing videos each day like today he learned how to completely mute the episode's voices and add music/effects. We are also making progress with our presentation about preservatives which should not take longer than the beginning of next week to finish. We keep hoping for the best to keep coming with our group!
People's favorite restaurants include, McDonald's? In-N-Out? Starbucks? They probably won't be your favorite after you continue in this journey with my team. We have decided which fast food places we would be attending: McDonalds, In-N-Out, Panda Express, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, Chipotle, Taco Bell, and Carl's Jr. There are many fast food places, but in order to come up with a final list what we did was lay out all fast food places located in California. We came to a conclusion that we were going to do those based on popularity and based on our personal opinions. Since we are going to be interviewing/confronting cashiers and cooks with questions, we came up with a list of provocative questions. We came up with questions based on the ingredients that are included in their food. From our predictions we believe most of the workers are not going to have a clue about what we are talking about. Of course we completed some research before asking these questions. Overall, everything is ready to go, all we have left to do is to decide the people going to each restaurant. Other than that, we want to begin filming at the locations as soon as possible.
Lesly and I were out for a couple days due to being sick. Once coming back Edgar and Roger filled us in on what they have been working on for the way past couple days.
The Project: Our project by the way will consist of a South Park episode about gluten except we will do the voice over for the characters and discuss the matters of preservatives. So far we have gotten off onto a great start because we have done a page of our storyboard, script, and some research that Lesly will be providing us about preservatives within the following day. Fast Food is a term given to food that it made and served in a very quick way. Most of us consume fast food because of many reasons whether it is because you are in a rush or just because. Have you ever thought what you are eating? What is in that food? The real ingredients? My group and I are basically investigating all of this. We chose fast food due to the fact that the majority of people consumethis type of food and make people realize what they are really eating.
The Project: What we decided on doing is choosing the most common fast food places and some fast food placed that are thought to be healthy. We are going to be interviewing cashiers and cooks and asking them questions based on their ingredients not stated on the menu. Another thing we will be doing is pranking these fast food places in many ways. After we have all the filming done we are going to create a YouTube channel where we will be posting all our videos.
